E-Learning: Design Opportunities at Home Part 1

This is my mindmap on my house's design problems. 
I chose "Only one power socket in my living room" as my design problem because it is really hard to charge our phones and laptops as the wires would get tangled up and get messy.

Energy Conservation Video... Messaging For Kids

1Who do you think are the target audience of this clip?
 - People who are still using Incandescent bulbs and still don't know how much energy one can save by using CFL bulbs. 
2. What do you think are the main key messages that the clip is trying to communicate?
 - To save energy as there are many ways already, such as not switching on the lights during the day, installing motion sensors, and many more. 
3. Do you think the clip is effective? Why or why not?
 - Yes. It tells us how much energy we save by using CFL bulbs compared to Incandescent bulbs and other ways to save energy. 
4. How do you think the messaging/clip could be further improved?
 - I think that more examples on how to save energy should be shown and the clip should explain why we should save energy. 

Energy Conservation Video...

1. What do you think are some of the limitations of using renewable energy resources, based on the clip that you have seen? 
 - Putting huge wind machines too close to people's houses. 
2. What are some possible solutions that the video have suggested?
 - Putting smaller turbines in residential areas and huge ones at areas further away from people.
3. How do you think Energy Conservation messages can be communicated effectively in the school or local context? Give or suggest some examples.
 - Show the school videos about Energy Conservation or invite speakers to give talks about energy conservation.
